Online Dice Roller: Roll 1 to 10 Dice (D6, D20 and More)

Lost the dice, or playing over a video call? Roll up to ten dice here. The total is added for you and the last rolls stay on screen.

Total: 8

A dice roller for the moments when the real ones are missing: board games on holiday, a backgammon game over video chat, a classroom probability lesson, or a quick decision between two options.

How to use it

  1. Choose how many dice you want to roll (1 to 10).
  2. Choose the number of sides. D6 is the normal die; D20 and the others are for role-playing games.
  3. Press Roll. The dice tumble, the result and the total appear, and the roll is added to the history below.

Where it comes in handy

  • Backgammon: roll two dice; doubles count four times, as always. The rules are on our backgammon rules page.
  • Yahtzee: roll five dice, then re-roll the ones you want to change by setting the count to the number you keep out. For a full game with scoring, print our Yahtzee score sheet.
  • Board games on the go: Ludo, Parcheesi and most family games need one or two dice.
  • Teaching: roll two dice a hundred times and watch the totals pile up around 7.

How fair is it?

Every roll uses the browser's cryptographically secure random generator and discards numbers that would favour some faces (rejection sampling), so a D6 lands on each face with exactly 1/6 probability. Nothing is sent anywhere; the page does not track your rolls.

Frequently asked questions

Is this dice roller really random?

Yes. It uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator (the same one used for security keys) with rejection sampling, so every face has exactly the same chance. Nothing is sent to a server.

Can I roll two dice and see the total?

Yes. Choose 2 dice and press Roll: both dice and the total are shown. You can roll up to 10 dice at once.

Does it have a D20?

Yes. Under Sides, pick D4, D6, D8, D10, D12 or D20. Mixed sets (a D20 and a D6 together) are not supported yet: roll them one after the other.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes, it works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Add the page to your home screen for quick access at the table.

Does it work offline?

Once the page has loaded, rolling works without an internet connection until you close the tab.
